Have you ever had to rack your brain to remember what color hair Heidi has, or where Lily lived before the invasion? (The answers are white-blonde and Philadelphia, respectively.) You no longer have to flip through the book to find the details about your favorite characters from The Host, because we have updated our Character Index! We’ve scoured the book for every detail and have compiled them all for you. We have now listed every single human member of Jeb’s Cell. Although all we know about some of the Minor Characters are their names, for Secondary Characters we have listed vital information such as age, physical descriptions, family members, and their personal histories. Good news all! I’m happy to report that the Chapter Index is finally now fully complete. We are proud to present to you a full list of all 60 chapters, plus the bonus chapter. For each chapter, we have a comprehensive summary, as well as a gorgeous banner to match.

The Chapter Index is a truly special part of our website as these summaries were written exclusively for the site. As far as we know, we are the only fansite dedicated to The Host that offers summaries for each individual chapter, so definitely check them out! Click on your favourite chapter and relive this amazing book!

Hey folks! This week brings another update to the Glossary Index. We have compiled and added information about the different alien species that reside on each respective planet in The Host universe. So, what was formerly the Planets page is now the Planets & Species page. Each individual planet page contains physical descriptions and additional information about that planet’s indigenous alien species. You can find the new additions directly below the existing planet description. For example, The Mists Planet’s page now also features detailed information about both Bears and Claw Beasts (yikes). Enjoy!

Although things on the news front have been rather quiet lately, never fear – we have been busy adding to and updating various parts of The Host Fan. Today’s addition is to the Glossary Index section. We’ve created a new page devoted to all of the different Planets mentioned in The Host – including species, locations, planet histories and more. Head on over, check it out, and let us know what you think! We’ve got more great things in the works, so be sure to check back.

We have added another awesome item to our Articles & Interviews section: the transcript from from the Torrance, California stop on Stephenie Meyer’s promotional tour for The Host. In this one, Stephenie mentions which actress she’d like to play the Seeker, why Sharon and Maggie are so darned mean to Wanderer, and where a host consciousness ‘goes’ after soul implantation.

We’ve also added the entirety of the 2008 Borders Media Interview to our archive. It is full of neat insights, especially when Stephenie points out which specific scene in The Host is a set-up for the sequel. Head on over and check it out!

I’m glad to announce that we’ve added and expanded on some pages in The Novel section. Many visitors of this fansite and members of our LJ comms have expressed interest in some of the more minor details in Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Hostverse‘, so we’ve been busy at work, picking out all of the facts and organizing them for you here! These pages include:

• Other Humans in Jeb’s Cell: Maggie, Sharon, Wes, Lily, etc.
• Planets and their Species: a list of all the worlds mentioned in The Host, including descriptions on the species that reside on each planet

In addition, a Quotes Archive has also been added to the site. This page is still a work in progress as there are an abundance of awesome lines and quotes in the book, so be sure to check back often. As we put the finishing touches on the rest of The Novel section, feel free to let us know what your favourite quotes are in the shoutbox on the left sidebar, and we’ll be sure to include them if they aren’t already included!

We’re not completely finished revamping the section, but I hope this suffices in the meantime! Stay tuned for some exciting developments
