I’m glad to announce that we’ve added and expanded on some pages in The Novel section. Many visitors of this fansite and members of our LJ comms have expressed interest in some of the more minor details in Stephenie Meyer’s ‘Hostverse‘, so we’ve been busy at work, picking out all of the facts and organizing them for you here! These pages include:
• Other Humans in Jeb’s Cell: Maggie, Sharon, Wes, Lily, etc.
• Planets and their Species: a list of all the worlds mentioned in The Host, including descriptions on the species that reside on each planet
In addition, a Quotes Archive has also been added to the site. This page is still a work in progress as there are an abundance of awesome lines and quotes in the book, so be sure to check back often. As we put the finishing touches on the rest of The Novel section, feel free to let us know what your favourite quotes are in the shoutbox on the left sidebar, and we’ll be sure to include them if they aren’t already included!
We’re not completely finished revamping the section, but I hope this suffices in the meantime! Stay tuned for some exciting developments 
Today we feature “Stockholm Syndrome” by Muse from Stephenie Meyer’s playlist for The Host. Meyer chose this song because she feels it describes Wanderer and Melanie’s predicament. It deals with Jared deciding to kill Wanderer/Melanie. Both of them decide that they don’t want to allow Jared to hurt anyone else, and accepts their death.

Wanderer’s POV
Jeb had wasted his efforts on the wrong people. It didn’t matter that Trudy or Lily was speaking to me, that Ian would put himself between his brother and me, that Sharon and Maggie made no hostile move toward me. The only one who had to be convinced had now, finally decided.
“I don’t think anyone needs to calm down,” Jared said through his teeth. “Jeb,” he continued, not looking to see if the old man had followed him forward, “give me the gun.”
The silence that followed his words was so tense. I could feel the pressure inside my ears.
From the instant I could clearly see his face, I’d known it was over. I knew what I had to do noe; Melanie was in agreement. As quickly as I could, I took a step to the side and slightly back, so that I would be clear of Ian. Then closed my eyes.

This amazing trailer by dlphnmolly begins by giving us a small glimpse of the invasion from the Souls’ point of view. This serves as an interesting contrast as the video moves on to follow the journey of Melanie (Evangeline Lilly) as she is bewildered and confused to finding her way to the caves, and eventually to discovering her strength.

We hesitated about posting this because it is another IMDB RUMOR which can often not be trusted. Still, we thought you all should know that ERIK FELLOWS is now listed as rumored for the part of Ian O’Shea on THE HOST IMDB PAGE.
What do you guys think? Do you think if this Erik Fellows fellow (HAHA) is indeed Ian, then that means the casting directors are going for unknowns over well-known actors? Would you prefer unknowns?
Also, if anybody can offer some clarity behind why he’s been listed, it would be much appreciated!

This is a wonderful piece of fanfic by rainbow_wings about Jack and Jasmine, two original characters, and what occurs when they find their way to the caves. Great for fans who like a longer, more complex storyline.

Jack’s P.O.V
“Promise me Jazz, don’t follow.” I pleaded with my ‘sister’. “Ugh! Fine! But I hate it when you do this! I’m not a kid anymore Jack.”
I smiled sadly “I can’t lose you Jazz, I won’t.” I said the last part more to myself than her.
It was just us now, me and Jasmine, my ‘sister’ even though we weren’t really related I felt like she was my sister, I loved her like sister and I couldn’t live with myself if I lost her to those monsters.
Jazz’s sigh broke me from my thoughts “Your not going to lose me Jack, stop freaking out! Just go, the sooner you go the sooner you’ll be back.” She mumbled grumpily.
I laughed, “Yea just don’t go anywhere okay? I’ll be back as soon as I can.” I said as I stood up behind the tree we were both hiding behind and looked at the house I was about to break into.

According to Acting-Auditions.org as of today, July 24, The Host has officially entered pre-production mode and casting has begun in Los Angeles.
There is no other new information, but if you are an actor interested in auditioning for The Host movie you should probably read the article.
